My sister finished her radiation in February and is feeling so great, she is doing the Houston Avon 2-day Walk in April! So far her team, The Girls Next Door, have raised over $3,500 for breast cancer research. I'm making this card for her & her teammate.
The image is from Bombshell Stamps, colored with copics. I outlined the image in black before I cut it out, which not only gives it a matted look, but also makes those small parts (like the rope and spur) easier to cut out. She is super-pop-dotted.
The sentiment I printed onto the textured cardstock using Stagecoach font. I distressed all the edges and inked it with a brown dye ink pad. The "posts" are toothpicks, colored with a brown wood touch-up marker, cut, and glued together. The "don't mess" and "with" are pop dotted.
The red layer was embossed with D'Vine swirls and sanded. The blue layer was torn, sanded, and inked with a paisley pattern in versamark. The cream layer was sanded, inked, and stamped with the barbed wire stamp, also in the bombshell cowgirl set. Four brads, and finally attached to a dark brown base layer.
Stamps: Bombshell Retro Cowgirl
Paper: Paper Studio textured paper, cream
Ink: Memento rich brown, tuxedo black, copics
Other: D'vine Swirls embossing folder, toothpicks, nail file, brads
